There are tons of Electric skateboards manufacturer there who claim to make the fastest electric skateboards in the world but most all of them lie. Today you are going to read and honest and unbiased review of the worlds fastest electric skateboard according to the Guinness world records which can gain up to 68 mph of speed.
World Record of Fastest Electric board Riding
I guess! 68 mph sound too fast to be true.
Right?
but trust me it is true. Yes It is.
So By whom? When? and How was this record created?
The answer is: The man who created this amazing world record on this amazing electric board is known as "Thrill-seeker Mischo Erban" (He deserved this name).
The world record was set when Mischo Erban reaches a breath-taking speed of 95.83 km/h (59.55 mph) on a Nextboard electric skateboards by NGV. [Source]

Nextboard 'Features/Specs' Review
NGV has researched a lot and improved and innovated their each and every corner of the board to make it the most fastest and high performing electric skateboard in the world. In terms of features it is better than the most popular brands like boosted and evolve etc.
We have discussed its in depth features and technology used in the board that makes it far different than other boards.
Deck
The deck is made of high grade custom molded carbon fiber, very stiff and extremely light. Inside is a waterproof compartment for two Li-Po batteries (200Wh each) and all electronic components.
Motors
Nextboards are powered by redesigned BLDC motors that can be precisely controlled in the range of 90 to 9000 revs per minute, while providing enough power and torque in all operating modes.
Motors are designed to be fully optimized to power high-performance electric longboard with in-wheel motors. They use 24-28 motor configuration. 28-magnetic-pole rotor in combination with 24 stator teeth provides good torque and precise engine control at lower-speeds and helps a lot for riding performance at slower speeds.
The motors have a diameter of 50 mm only, which allows them to develop wheels with a diameter of 85 mm with contact patch at 70 mm and a 17.5 mm thick urethane depth. Thank's to innovatively redesigned aluminium core there is not possible for urethane to separate from the aluminum core regardless of the rotating speed.
By mounting motors into all wheels they diminish stresses to each motor a lot, while ensuring better driving control and greater stability at high speeds.
Wheels
Longboard wheels must provide good grip on the road and ensure a enjoyable and safe ride. From time to time the wheels need to be replaced because of wear, or because you might want to use harder or softer compounds depending on the surface you are riding on.
The Nextboard rider can do it in a minute. With the wheels having a 17.5 mm urethane depth, it enables a comfortable and safe ride at all speeds!
Battery
The Nextboards are using Li-Po batteries instead of Li-Ion. Lithium polymer batteries have a greater discharge rate and best power / weight ratio. It means that they can provide enough electric current for their four motors propulsion system in any mode of operation.
They are relatively small and light for the energy they are able to store (compared to Li-Ion batteries). This combination allows the Nextboard to achieve speeds in excess of 100 km/h (60 mph) and a cruising range of over 25 km (15 miles), while keeping the it's weight under 10 kg (22 lbs).
For comparison a similarly sized Li-Ion battery would provide barely half of the required discharge rate and a significantly shorter cruising range. Because of these limitations, Li-Ion batteries at the moment aren't suitable for high-performance applications where weight and size is a big concern. The Nextboard is safe to use with standard Li-Po batteries (mostly used for drones) ranging from 4S to 12S (14.8V to 44.4V).
The 4WD System
NGV's own esc firmware provides Precise control of all four motors. It has been developed specifically for the electric longboard drive and optimized for their motors, the size of the wheels and the specificity of riding on a fast 4WD electric longboard.
NGV Nextboard was the world's first electric longboard with 4WD introduced in year 2015. It features the most advanced 4WD system ever fitted to an e-board, enabling great high-speed stability and confidence while cornering. More motors go hand in hand with more torque, better acceleration, more powerful breaking and the ability to ride steeper slopes with ease.
They programmed the controllers for smoother acceleration as well. The board is perfectly controllable at slower speeds, so the rider can safely cruise around the city in the morning and set a new World speed record in the afternoon, without altering the setup
Performance
Being the world's fastest electric skateboard Nextboard also provides some amazing performance experience compare to other most popular and high performing electric boards. Without performance this skateboard would not deserve to be called the fastest electric skateboard.
We have discussed about its overall performance divided into 3 weighted metrics, each comprised of a handful of different tests.
Speed
Speed is the backbone of any electric skateboard, what is the point in buying an electric skateboard if you cannot go fast?
So, Motorized skateboards must have speed and in terms of speed this board is the king of speed. Fastest recorder speed at which the world record was set is of 95.83 km/h (59.55 mph). It was not possible for us to test is at it's maximum speed but it does have some serious acceleration and speed.
Range
Range of an electric skateboard is as important as the speed of the board and the maximum range that can be traveled on this board is 20 miles (32 Km) at an average speed of 17 kmh
Here is a video in which a NGV rider recorded a range of 9 miles using only almost half of the available battery space. It means it can go on upto 20 miles easily on a flatground and smooth surface.
Hills
Whether you ride on hills or on straight street roads, but you should always check whether your board is able to ride over steep hill or not.
When riding through hills we noticed that you can ride it on more than 25% grade hills at an average steep hill.
Here is a video by Louis Pilloni Nextboard in which you can see him riding on hills at a massive speed of 40 mph. Although, the hill is not so steep but I have never seen any motorized skateboard performing this way.
Riding Experience
I would not be wrong if I say that apart from being the fastest electric board this on it also is the highest performing electric skateboard as well. While riding it is very smooth and flexible enough for every rider.
After they have improved their wheels it is now next to impossible for the wheels to come out while riding and the motors of this board is so powerful that Mischo Erban himself confessed in an interview that-
"The motors are strong enough for the lots of stuffs, stuffs that I'm not even ready for"
He also talked about the quality of the trucks, wheels and decks etc. Check that interview here.

What's Next?
This board has been innovated whenever needed and I hope that they keep innovating this board as it is the future of the Electric Skateboards.
First they had a challenge of achieving the max speed to fulfill it they invented such an amazing set of motors. Later they had a challenge to make a better bong between aluminium core and urethane wheels and now there latest wheels are next to impossible to be removed while riding.
Nextboard innovators are now working on making its controls hands free/Remote-less, When I asked them about more details they told me that they are trying to integrate Controls in the gloves, Actually both the gloves so that the rider can enjoy the feel of a commuter Longboard.
Let's see What is they do next, we should support them to keep manufacturing and innovating the future boards.
